Who we are
Cindermere is a small, independent imprint for literary sapphic fiction — stories set at the crossroads of longing and belonging, in cities that hum with heat and contradiction, told by characters who carry the weight of who they're supposed to be and the hunger for who they actually are.
We publish books about South Asian women, about friendship that tips over into love, about the long and frightening walk toward being fully known. Slow burns. Closed doors. Open hearts.
Our catalogue
The story does not end at three
Bound by Mumbai was never a trilogy. It is one long story about two women and the twenty-five years it takes them to say the true thing out loud — and six further books follow through 2027.
Part One
Priya from her twenties to thirty. How the armor gets built, and what it costs to wear it every day.
Part Two
The same years, from the other side of the sea wall. The woman who brought two cups of coffee, and waited.
Part Three
After. Not the happy ending as a full stop, but the long, ordinary, hard-won work of a life lived in full daylight.
Titles, covers and dates for the remaining volumes are announced first to readers on the mailing list.
